the first Russian IT company ever to participate in the Bangalore IT.Com event,
plans to establish partnerships with big Indian IT companies for outsourcing
development work to the country and also for setting up a development centre in
India. As the first step, the company is planning to set up its office in
Bangalore.
RBC chief technical officer Maxim Filamofitsky said, "It is our first visit to the country and the cost advantage offered by India is one of the main reasons for our interest in this region. We are also looking at attracting excellent Indian talent to our country." RBC is also looking at tying up with Indian companies to bring in and offer the company's products and services in India. RBC with a turnover of $27 million is the first media and IT company to go public through an IPO in Russia. "We went for an IPO in April 2002 and the appreciation was around $13 to $15 million," Filamofitsky said. The company with around 200 employees has grown to become the number one Internet brand in Russia, he said.
